Turnout Low For Moody Creek Solar Project Meeting

Turnout for a recent public meeting on the vast Moody Creek Solar Project in Charlotte County was low, as developers Apex Clean Energy and SolUnesco try to spread word about their project. The meeting was held at the Bacon District Fire Department building, where the developers said they plan to move foreward with the project, with ground breaking sometime between spring and summer of 2020. The project is said to be as much as 1700 acres, making it one of the largest solar projects in the state. Charlotte County leaders say they’re working to organize a new public hearing and also to review a conditional use land permit.
