John Staton III

John is a native of Buckingham County and grew up immersed in the world of radio. His passion for radio began after listening to countless air-checks with his dad and discovering his passion for the creativity available to radio jocks.

 

John got his start in radio doing part-time work at WFLO during his senior year of high school and he has stayed in radio ever since.

 

John hosts the Morning Show, the Friday Night Party, and serves as the production and program manager for WFLO.

Danny Huskey

Born and raised in Farmville, VA, Danny's first job was working at his father’s gas station. Danny later graduated from Hampden Sydney College and worked in Richmond, VA for 38 years but always kept his strong ties to his hometown.

 

Now, Danny is back and excited to be Sales Manager at WFLO, looking forward to growing his connections with the local community and WFLO. In his free time, Danny enjoys spending time with his wife exploring area history, trying new restaurants, and attending sports events!

Christine "Chris" Wood

Chris Wood is a veteran radio professional with a beautiful voice. She is excited to join the WFLO team in producing content for the local community.
 

Chris can be heard on WFLO FM hosting Sunday Mornings with Chris and as a co-host of the Call Flo Radio Show on Wednesdays.

​

In her free time, Chris enjoys exploring new recipes — cooking and baking for herself and friends and family.

Noah Messarge

Noah Messarge has been helping behind the scenes in the audio world since he was 14 working at his local church. 

​

Having always enjoyed listening to the radio growing up, Noah os excited to be working with a local community station and learning from veterans of the industry. 

​

In his free time, Noah likes to perform at open mics, performing stand up comedy 

​

Luke Lindquist

Luke Lindquist is the voice of WFLO Sports. A sophomore psychology major at Hampden-Sydney College, Luke brings the top stats and scores from local college sports to the community every Monday and Thursday during the Ellington Energy Sports Report. 

​

Outside of the WFLO studio, Luke is the play-by-play announcer for H-SC Tiger soccer and baseball.

 

Between semesters, he travels across the country to Twin Falls, Idaho, where he calls home and spends time with his family. After graduation, he looks to continue his career in sports broadcasting for the college or university of his graduate studies. 

 

To Luke, WFLO is a great way to connect with his family and friends both near and far.

Taylar Palmer

Taylar Palmer is the intern behind WFLO’s social media accounts. She is a senior at
Liberty University, majoring in social media management.


Although Taylar is from Richmond, Virginia, she spent most of her childhood visiting her
family here in Farmville. Taylar always remembers listening to WFLO in her grandparents’ home.


In her free time, Taylar likes to cook, travel, and catch up on the latest social media
trends. After graduation, Taylar hopes to work as a social media coordinator.


Taylar is excited to take on this role and be part of the WFLO team! We are very happy
to have Taylar on our team!
