Public Comments Being Accepted For ACP Permit

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality State Air Pollution Board is asking for public comment on a new permit for the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline compressor station in Buckingham County. The public comment period run from now until Aeptember 11th. You can review an analysis that was done on the permit by going to deq.virginia.gov. You can comment on the permit by calling 804-698-4442. There will also be an informational meeting at the Buckingham County Administration Building on August 16th starting at 6pm. The public comment period will then finish with a final hearing on September 11th, which will be held at Buckingham County Middle School starting at 5pm. There are 51 various requirements that must be met in order for the permit to be valid.

    I worked on 2 homes that were affected by the explosion of the line in Appomattox , we felt it here near Mt. Rush , it was a significant event indeed , including the home that had to be razed because of it . It is definitely a public safety concern to build the compressor station !
